Waste Environmental Protection Power Plant to Start Construction         The biggest modern power plant with waste environmental protection in western China landed in Jiujiang of Shuangliu County on June 25. The plant is with special permission from the government. Upon its completion, the plant will be with a daily capacity of treating 1,800 tons of urban domestic waste and an annual capacity of 650,000 tons. The plant will generate 150 million kilowatts of electricity in its initial stage and up to 200 million kilowatts in 10 years’operation. The power generation by waste heat will supply the electricity of about 80,000 households apart from the electricity use by the plant itself.
