“We will continue to push forward the expansion plan of our outsourcing service base in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone this year and will expand our business in the city at the same pace next year”, said Zhou Weikun, president of IBM China, during his visit to Chengdu on May 28.
He disclosed that IBM Chengdu would increase its staff number from the present 600 to nearly 1,000 by the end of the year. IBM would donate all the software and hardware along with SAHANA system and offer technicians to help the disaster area to improve the disaster relief emergency management system. Chengdu emergency commanding system has played an important role in the quake relief work, and IBM’s donation of SAHANA system is a great support to the post-disaster reconstruction of the city. Chengdu will cooperate with the staff of IBM to further improve its disaster relief emergency management system.
