On Feb.21st, the Ministry of Commerce released the newest statistical data which showed that in 2010, Chengdu realized ＄336-million registered contract value in service outsourcing, a YoY growth of 99%. The executed value reached ＄258-million, a YoY growth of 158%. Chengdu ranks 13th among the 21 service outsourcing model cities and tops among western China cities.
According to relevant officials from Chengdu Commerce Bureau, there are 80 newly registered service outsourcing enterprises in Chengdu last year and the total number have reached 240, among which 80 enterprises have offshore outsourcing business. Now among the world’s top 10 service outsourcing enterprises, Accenture, IBM and Wipro have successively settled in Chengdu. 6 out of the top 10 service outsourcing enterprises in China, VanceInfo, Beyondsoft, Neusoft, Hisoft, iSoftStone and Longtop Group have set up companies in Chengdu. Over 20 transnational enterprises such as Motorala, Ubisoft, Agilent Technologies and so on have established inside shared service centers and R&D centers in Chengdu. Maersk global documents handling center and logistics branch office, DHL Chengdu service center and financial settlement center in China, as well as Siemens global IT operation center have begun operating.
