On Feb. 25th, the Chengdu high-tech comprehensive bonded zone will receive inspections from 10 state’s ministries and commissions such as General Administration of Customs, Ministry of Commerce, Administration of Taxation, Ministry of Finance and so on. On Feb. 21st, reporters learned from the Chengdu Customs’ working conference that once approved, Chengdu high-tech comprehensive zone will officially start operation.
Now the infrastructure construction in the comprehensive bonded zone has almost finished. The zone is located in the western park of Chengdu high-tech zone (CDHT). The Chengdu Customs said from project application to approval to construction, Chengdu high-tech comprehensive bonded zone all set up the country’s new records.
As our province’s first comprehensive bonded zone, the zone is formed by the integration and expansion of Chengdu export processing zone and Chengdu bonded logistics center (B type). It has multi-functions like bonded export, bonded logistics and port function. It is now the country’s special customs supervision zone with the most complete functions and the most favorable policies. In the export processing zone, there are 27 noted enterprises like Intel and Foxconn and the products include the most advanced Intel chips and the most popular iPad. The zone’s import and export business volume ranks No.1 in western China and No.5 in China.
