It is learned from Deyang Municipal Bureau of Commerce that in the year 2010, Deyang’s total foreign trade volume has increased by 32.1 percent to $2.232 billion. The total import volume has reached $1.291 billion, with a YoY growth of 30.5 percent. The total export volume has reached $941 million, with a YoY growth of 35.4 percent. Deyang has again ranked first in foreign trade value among prefecture-level cities, and remained the second in Sichuan province.
In 2010, Deyang positively confront the slow recovery of world economy, coping with such unfavorable factors as tightened trade protectionism, the spread of financial risks, rising cost of domestic labor and raw materials, etc. Due to its efforts, Deyang successfully exported its products to diversified markets, with more than 137 import and export destinations. Deyang was conferred “National Science and Technology Innovation Trade Base (Equipment Manufacture)” and “National Key Landing Place for Gradient Transfer of Processing Trade”.
2010 witnessed Deyang’s transformation in the development pattern of foreign trade. Throughout the industry concentrated areas, such as Jingyang, Shifang and Guanghan, there’s a sensible distribution of high-tech, innovative supporting enterprises and mechanic-parts manufacturing enterprises.
