Outstanding Scientist Awarded 　　The winner of Chengdu’s highest honor for science and technology innovation was made known to the public this week. Ke Zunhong from the Chengdu Kanghong Pharmaceutical Group has become the first individual to win the prize along with a cash prize of RMB500,000. The awarding panel highly commended Mr. Ke’s achievements in technology innovation and transforming scientific invention to productivity. This is the third time the biennial award is granted. Last time, no one claimed the award, as none were able to qualify and meet the strict standards set for candidature.
