In many foreigners’view, Taiji Quan (shadow boxing) is an essential of oriental culture with a lot of mysterious elements. Taiji Quan is a kind of Chinese“Kungfu”whose broad and rich content makes it a symbol of Chinese culture and which is popular with a lot of foreigners. Recent years, the favor of Taiji Quan is aroused among foreigners in China and the demand of Taiji Quan course among them rises. However, it is difficult to initiate such traditional and profound Chinese Kungfu among different cultures. Having taught Taiji Quan to foreign students in Chengdu in English for more than 20 years, Wu Shiqing, an 80-year-old teacher, is practicing to be a cross-cultural initiator of Taiji Quan.
