Sixteen public hospitals in the downtown area have inked agreement with fifty-one community medical service centers to offer medical support to the centers, that is believed to provide better medical treatment and service to patients from the centers to the hospitals. By this kind of medical aid, the level of medical service in communities will be upgraded, establishing a more effective 15-minute medical service program which is able to offer all-round daily medical care to the community. From now on, more people will be covered by the upgraded community medical system.
In accordance with the medical support agreement, serious patients received by the community medical centers can get doctors’consultation and instructions from the appointed public hospitals or be diagnosed and treated in the public hospitals if necessary. Meanwhile, the community is required to establish an efficient channel, enabling patients to access more professional treatment in hospitals. The centers will also follow up their patients’state of illness. After a period of treatment in hospitals, the patients can come back to community medical service centers for further rehabilitation.
According to the details of the plan of the Municipal No.3 Hospital, it will provide support to four community medical service centers, involving the medical aid of Traditional Chinese Medicine, family ward rehabilitation, pediatrics, heart internal medicine, E.N.T medicine, respiration internal medicine and Stomatology. Experts of No.3 Hospital will give clinics service periodically in community medical centers.“The support plan will be carried out over a long period. We will distribute our medical support to the four communities according to their real demand,”said Zhang Li, vice director of the hospital.
