Annual Average Temperature of 2007

  As global warming is escalating, Sichuan’s temperature in 2007 continued to be on the high side. The annual average temperature was 16.9℃, 0.9℃ higher than usual. That was the 11th consecutive year of above-average temperature. Most places in the Province recorded relatively high temperatures. Except for the northeast of the Basin, the temperature in other parts was 1 to 2.2℃ higher than the average. The temperature of February was 3.5℃ above the average, the first record high in history. The temperature of May was 2.1℃ higher than the average, the second record high in history and second to that in 1969.
